Iteration 3: Stats & History
Major Developments
- Basic Statistics added
- Streak logic implemented
- Timeline introduced
- Profile screen updated
This iteration was relatively large update to the functionality of the app. Adding in statistics, while not super difficult (just manipulating data we already have), does set the stage for the future personal cooking growth focus that I want to pursue. Streaks, timeline, and other various stats open the door for a "Spotify Wrapped" sort of methodology of displaying a user's progress through their cooking journey.the
Decisions
Admittedly not a lot of decisions here - I wanted to just get a lot of things out the door first, so most of this will probably be shifted/changed in the future. Since I wasn't really adding anything new and just using what's already been submitted, this was a straightforward iteration of everything.
Next
Going to tackle followers and the social side of things I think - I've been trying to stray away from the typical "social media" flow of things, but I do want to still have it built out and be an option for users to start interacting with. Monetization possibilities galore once "verified" chefs or influencers start using this to build their communities.
P.S. I've been realizing as I'm typing these up that I keep going back and correcting the colloquial "we" that I instinctively write. Most likely going to stop that - it's still just me for now (and Claude if you count that as a "partner" in this...)
